Stay at Quinta da Castelhana.

A cosy B&B on our small fruit farm in the Portuguese countryside, surrounded by nature and quiet.

Our Concept

At Quinta da Castelhana we welcome you to a small, personal B&B in the Portuguese countryside, with just one cosy guest room for 1 or 2 guests. Here you stay as our only guests on our small fruit farm, with wide views, silence and the slow rhythm of nature around you.

Our concept is to offer a calm place to pause everyday life, enjoy good food and spend unhurried time together. In the morning you start the day with a generous breakfast, featuring freshly baked sourdough and seasonal products from our own land, such as fruit, homemade jams and olive oil.

During the day you can explore the region or simply relax at the quinta, read a book, take a walk or enjoy the outdoor spaces. In the evening many guests like to cook a simple meal, share a glass of local wine and watch the light fade over the surrounding hills – with the feeling of having the place almost to themselves.

Outdoor Bathroom & Kitchen

One of the most special parts of staying at Quinta da Castelhana is our open‑air bathroom and outdoor kitchen. Just a few steps from your room, you will find a private space where you can shower, relax and cook while being surrounded by nature.

The outdoor bathroom includes a spacious shower, toilet, sink and a bathtub with wide views over the valley and the surrounding hills. It is a simple, comfortable space designed for unhurried moments – from a refreshing morning shower to a long, warm bath under the evening sky.

Next to the bathroom there is a small but well‑equipped outdoor kitchen that guests can use freely. Here you can prepare your own meals, make a light lunch or cook dinner with local ingredients and products from our farm. Many guests enjoy spending the evening here, cooking outside and eating under the stars, feeling at home in the quiet of the countryside.

Packages & Experiences

To make your stay even more special, we offer a few small packages and experiences on and around the farm. You can choose, for example, a slow “stay in nature” with extra time to rest, a food‑focused stay with more attention on fresh, seasonal cooking, or a simple romantic weekend for two. Each package adds small touches to your stay, always in the same calm, natural atmosphere of our countryside B&B.
